Dr. Joshua E. Marineau — Executive Leadership Coach

The only coach in the region who can quantify how your leadership growth rewires your organization's network.

I'm an Associate Professor of Management and a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Certified Coach, listed in the official MGSCC global directory.

My coaching isn't borrowed theory. I've spent more than a decade publishing peer-reviewed research on social networks, work performance, and perceptual accuracy in organizational settings. The social network analysis expertise I bring to coaching is based on published academic work.

I contribute to the NSF AgTech Engine — a National Science Foundation Regional Innovation Engine initiative advancing agricultural technology across North Dakota. I've also served as principal investigator on entrepreneurial network research funded by the Kauffman Foundation, studying how innovation ecosystems actually work in the Fargo-Moorhead region.

My current research extends into neurodivergence and the workplace — specifically how ADHD shapes social behavior, conflict, and performance in organizational settings. A 2026 study in Acta Psychologica is part of that ongoing program.

When I tell you that your leader's influence network has shifted, I can show you the data. Before and after. No other coach in the upper Midwest can make that statement.

Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching

The Methodology

Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching

Marshall Goldsmith is the world's #1 executive coach — ranked by Thinkers50, Harvard Business Review, and the Wall Street Journal. His Stakeholder Centered Coaching process is the only methodology where the stakeholders around your leader — not a self-assessment, not the coach — are the ultimate measure of success.

Every month, stakeholders anonymously rate whether your leader is improving on targeted behaviors. They also provide forward-looking suggestions (FeedForward) — not backward-looking criticism. The process builds the kind of behavioral change that is perceived, sustained, and trusted.

  • 70–80% of behavioral change sustained 12–24 months after coaching ends
  • Stakeholders — not the coach — are the final judge of success

Local + National

Deeply rooted in Fargo-Moorhead. Globally certified.

My familiarity with these sectors comes from different kinds of exposure. I've worked directly with organizations in agribusiness — including CHS — and my NSF AgTech Engine and Kauffman Foundation research is grounded in the startup and agricultural innovation ecosystem of the upper Midwest. For other sectors, my knowledge comes from in-depth research interviews with dozens of regional leaders and from teaching professionals across these industries in my academic role. I'm transparent about the difference.

I also work nationally and virtually. 70%+ of MGSCC engagements are delivered remotely — the methodology is fully designed for virtual delivery.
